Good times and then back to work

Sunday was a bliss. I met up with ermoumag author Pelopidas and the lovely Queen B. to see the 7ply Project exhibition at Technopolis, once again. Followed by fashion talk over coffee and blog talk over food. And then I went to see some stand-up comedy. And after that, had some drinks at a bar in Psyrri.

The board my boyfriend painted for the exhibition.

Had to have my picture taken in front of it of course!

The lovely Queen B.

Like I said, Sunday was a bliss!

And then you sleep and you wake up. It's dreaded Monday and you have to go to work. For once, I decided to wear trousers instead of a skirt. More specifically, my new H&M khaki linen trousers.

Khaki linen trousers, H&M. Yellow short-sleeved shirt, BERSHKA. Multicoloured polka-dot pumps, ZARA. Three necklaces worn together, PULL&BEAR. Grey bag, MANGO.

Hey, I have a question here: How come the word "khaki" is used to describe a colour of greyish olive green hue in Greece and Europe, but instead a pants style in the USA? I'd love to hear what my American readers have to say. Does me describing a pair of linen trousers (or pants, whatever) as "khaki" confuse you?

For the record, those polka-dot pumps had killed my feet by midday, so I had to change them for a pair of sandals. New ones. But more on that later this week!

i have your grey bag in purple! (yes from mango). in the old post your pants didn't seem interesting, but now that you are wearing them,,,way different!i'm not a fan of linen but i like high-waist pants!

hearing someone call linen trousers "khaki" doesn't confuse me BUT I don't think of it as that dark olivey color. When I hear "khaki" I think of a light tan, like this:

And a quick google image search seems to agree with me. I just looked and the whole page was full of pants like that, except for one darker pair.

totally agreed with Kelly's comment... your khaki comment was not confusing but when we refer to "a pair of khakis" we're referencing a pair of tan dress pants! similar... kinda...

those polka dot shoes are adorable!
and i've never been confused when you've said khaki because here we say that as a colour too, but its more a light brown here

Actually, maybe the colour "khaki" is considered a light tan in the US *because* it is synonymous to light tan pants.
Fun fact: here is Greece it is mainly used to describe the Army fatigues instead of dressy pants!

That is one talented boyfriend you've got!

I second Kelly about khaki. I think we Americans use the word to describe British khaki.

Khaki can go either way but in general, I think of "tan" when I think of Khaki, though I have noticed many stores have Khaki as an olive colour - very different colours!!

Your bf's board is amazing, btw, wow!! PS love your shoes. and PPS those pants rock, I love linen pants from H&M (though hate the wrinkly part)
