Button up or button down?
Both skirt and shirt are new. Just popped into ZARA a few days ago, saw them and got them. I can't resist cute, easy-to-wear everyday stuff.
And I may not show it, but I'm a big fan of button-down shirts. Meaning I own a handful, but I don't wear them much because I'm way too lazy to iron. Pathetic.
Button-down shirt and red skirt, ZARA. Perspex ring, Accessorize. Ballet flats, Maloles (second hand via BOHBO).

Oh wow, love your skirt! This color is fantastic!
xx
I can only see the 1st picture... Pfffff... I'll try again later. For now I'll just say that the colour of the skirt is simply amazing! Kind of reminded me of your red ballet flats from a year ago or something!
m aresei para polu t xrwma tis foustas.. oi mpalarines malones einaii..?!
apisteutes...
I love these two colors together, I also love button up shirts and like you I get lazy to iron, so usually I hang them to air dry and spray some of that wrinkle release spray while they are fresh out of the washing machine, they don't looks as perfect as when ironed but it does the trick. =)
cute cute cute cute!!!! i don't know much about shirts (i hate ironing too) but what i know is that the ballerinas are awesome! big kiss
I really love shirts too especially paired with more feminine piece like this nice skirt!
Lopi - love the new buys - especially the shirt. In fact i raided Zara last week, what an amazing sale right? I scored a pair of shoe boots which were previously 90e for 20e amongst a longer line version of you shirt, a cool blazer, which i noticed they've put the price back up for the new season - bit cheeky?!
I'm also not a fan of ironing either!
x.o.x.o
shirts create the illusion of an office look, i prefer them at work when i want to look serious, despite the fact that the rest of my outfit might not be polished enough, as long as the colors are light blue and grey.
sounds boring but it does the trick.
ps. i love those maloles, told you before, got to buy my own pair !
pathetic she said! well i am totally and utterly bored of ironing and that is the only reason that i do not own many shirts! love the combination of stripes and orangy-red!
I hate ironing too! This outfit looks great on you! I like your hair this way!
Ha! Totally hear ya on the ironing. And what about those people who iron their sheets?!
great skirt! I love this outfit!
@Elena
yup, my other maloles flats are the same tomato-red colour!
@stella
totally agree, in fact this was a work outfit!
@katerina
thanks! they're getting kinda too long again, maybe I'should trim the ends
@Fashion Butter
ironing sheets? I mean, who has the time? if you hang them to air dry properly, they are just fine, thank you!
I rarely iron my shirts -- some are made from men's shirts and so they have a fiber blend that is "wrinkle-free", or I wear them rumpled (not to work, though). I encourage you not to let the iron dictate your style choices, as this is a super-cute look for you.
I am actually a frequent visitor of your blog, so allow me to say something to you, totally without any bad feelings. (After all, I put some time in writing it)
Could you please explain to me how a simple "blouse-skirt-ballet flats" outfit can turn into something worth-posting? I am a big fun of chic and simple but this is just so indifferent. I understand that fashion bloggers need to support each other, that's why usually i don't take all the thumbs up comments on your posts too seriously. I am from Greece too. So, here in Greece where we all walk around the streets or even abroad, your today's outfit is nothing that we haven't repeatedly seen. I don't say that your outfit sucks, but at least someone has to say the obvious: IT'S NO BIG DEAL! And i am concerned that you seem to think the opposite!
So, dear lopi, as a fellow architect allow me a piece of advice. Give your fellow readers something more lopi! Please… everyone can wear a blouse and a skirt without much of an effort! Σκεψου μονο, το στυλ φουστα-μπλουζα να αντικαταστησει το “αρχιτεκτονικο φουλαρι” ! Που οδευουμε??? Συναδερφικούς χαιρετισμούς
@Anonymous
I hear ya!
The outfit is indeed simple as scratch. I just started writing down an answer/explanation for you here on the comments section, but it started getting too long and since I find your observation extremely interesting, I think I'll dedicate a whole post on that matter. BRB!
i also tried the red skirt in zara but looked awful me ta liga "psomakia" mou!
i m looking forward to reading your answer to the anonymous person above, well i quite agree with him/her in some points, i d love to read your opinion..kisses
Love your blouse and shoes; it's a very classic outfit, but somehow not boring. :)
P.S. Don't worry the post wasn't really in response to you specifically; I think the previous text misled a number of people b/c I got a lot of comments like yours. Besides, I liked the topic, so I'm always game to continue it...
Pretty skirt. THat colour is amazing.
Ps. Don't forget to enter my giveaway! Good luck if you already have!
The only kind of button-down (or ups!) I get are the cotton ones.. no ironing for me and still basically the same thing, hehe.
Cute outfit, though! I love that coral color. <3
