Tonight, we're gonna reach the sky

During ReMap 3, the international contemporary art programme in Metaxourgio / Keramikos district, Vamiali’s gallery with great pleasure will present the project “Reach the sky” in collaboration with Anneta Papadatou.

Reach the sky is a site-specific street art project, especially created for the open lot at 36 Leonidou street. An ad hoc construction will be built having as source of inspiration the city’s sky and point of departure the idea of the fenced space itself where the final result will be a surprise until the very last moment and will be completed little before the exhibition’s beginning. The participating well known graffiti artists, all very young with a fresh point of view, will work collaboratively and will question the limitations of their style using humor and creativity in an interactive approach within the environment itself. The final project will be flexible and in flux. Viewers will be able to see the exhibition during 24 hours.

OZON International Soirée

Last night at Newsstand Eleftheroudakis for the OZON International Soirée. It was great seeing and greeting just about everyone after the summer holidays, but what's even greater is the fact that our beloved OZON magazine has gone international.


On the second issue of OZON International ‘Do you really want to hurt me’ that was on display, the OZON team approaches the phenomenon of violence and how violence becomes a part of our everyday life. The model on the cover was shot by Nikolas Ventourakis wearing a leather piece by designer Úna Burke.

Saffron

A birthday present from my friend Noriko Tasaki. Other than an amazing friend, she is also an author. Go buy her Kindle book, it's a lot cheaper than a Zara scarf.

Turquoise on magenta

These is just a selection of the turquoise jewellery I packed for my vacation. The thing with turquoise is that you can really wear it with just about anything in summer - maybe except other shades of blue.

Samos summer wine

It was a shame of me to always spend my summers in Samos and never having visited the Wine Museum of the Samos Vinicultural Cooperative.



This time my friends and I decided to fix that.

There's also this quite interesting perk that played a part in our decision:

After a brisk walk through the museum, you get to enjoy some wine tasting!

I was later even happier to discover that the Union of Vinicultural Cooperatives of Samos has issued a very cute and helpful cocktail catalogue complete with recipes, yummy pics and all, using only Samos wines (most especially the famous Samos Vin Doux, which is quite strong I tell you) using cocktail names like Vanillatini, Samos Sangria, Ginger Wine, Samos Mojito, Melon Smoothie, Samos Screwdriver and Samos Breeze. Τhese past few weeks, I've been living in such attire. Simple, loose clothing and all natural materials - cotton, leather, straw - as I can't stand anything heavier touching my skin during the Greek summer heat.
