Although I'm not much of a make-up person, these past couple of years I have come to the conclusion that a dash of red lipstick instantly makes you look more polished and put-together, whatever the outfit.
Since then, I've been carrying a red lipstick in my bag and it has saved me many times, when I had to rush somewhere right after work.

This one is Russian Red, but I've also caved in and bough myself Ruby Woo as well.
Have you tried them? Which one would you recommend?

I haven't tried these shades but I have been looking for the perfect shade of red forever so I may try them. I totally agree with you about red lipstick giving you an instant polished look!
I can't really find any big differences between this two when they re applied on the lips... I have stila Delilah and Mac lip pencil Russian red. Also Lanvin for HM which is a bit brighter. But at the moment I'm into deep rose shades -red makes me look pale so I have to have a full make up on in order to work the red lips
I want Russian Red so bad! But every time I hit a Mac counter they say it's not in stock, FML!
I love MAC's red lippies! I would say russian red is a classic red whereas ruby woo is a little bit more out there!! if you really wanna go bold though you could try lady danger!!! :) xx
