That's my sister above, picking "koumara" from a bush. As a newly found family tradition, we go on an outdoors excursion the day after Christmas, along with our parents' friends and their kids. We ride on 4x4s, stopping to gather mushrooms and berries, eat fruit straight from the trees or to just walk among the bushes and get our "nature fix" in general. Works wonders for the "
oh God, we had so much to eat" post-Christmas guilt, too!
We had lots of fun, but there was a rather unfortunate event. At some point, my sunglasses (seen in the first picture) fell off as I was leaning over a bush, searching for mushrooms. I didn't realize it immediately and when I did, it was too late. I was already ten to twelve bushes away. I searched briefly, but to no avail. It was hopeless... All there was to do was grief briefly and move on.
I miss you, my dear green and pink Von Zipper Rockford sunglasses!
However, I did find a beautiful blue feather lying on the grass and picked it up. I didn't want to put it in my pocket and ruin it, so I just stuck it in my hair.

After a while I found another one, this time black with little white splotches, and doubled the fun. As you may have guessed, there are no any mirrors in the middle of nowhere, so I didn't have any chance to see how I looked before I came home. And it was not bad, may I say...
