AFW Workshop, Day 2

The second day of the Athens Fashion Week Workshops was even more exciting. After some food for thought in the form of a lecture by our professor Iris Lykourgioti, we were told to go out and buy materials like rope and wire to make models that would hang from the ceiling. The vertical way they would hang would imitate the axis of the human body standing on the ground. I did that weird balancing thing you see below.

After the workshop ended, it was all about the official Fashion Week opening party. There were TV cameras interviewing c-class greek celebrities, make-up artists clutching their beauty cases and promotion girls offering mini cocktails all over the place. We didn't get to watch the shows by Aslanis and Simeoni, but we got to catch a glimpse of the Opening Ceremony catwalk show.

That's all for now, but stay tuned. Tomorrow is going to be a hard day, as the metro and the buses are on strike and moving around will be hard, if not impossible. But if the fashion people can't make it, no one can!
